Contract Administration

The contract administrator is an important figure in the construction process. Generally appointed by the client, the consultant manages the legal agreement between the parties involved in the project, from inviting and processing tender and contract creation to project completion.

Assess variations, release instructions, consider claims, prepare construction progress reports, agree on defects and issue interim certificates for payments, up to practical completion and final certificates are his responsibilities.

It is not legally required to appoint a contract administrator, although it is a key figure to smooth the construction process keeping track of the contract ensuring that agreed obligations are met and helping to minimize risks related to delays, cost overruns, and disputes.

We believe that fostering open and effective communication, clear understanding of contractual obligations, quality assurance knowledge, time and risk management as well as problem solving skills make of AQA a perfect ally for successful construction projects.
